What do you mean by HIaaS, Hardware Innovation as a Service ?

HIaaS, or Hardware Innovation as a Service, redefines the approach to electronic hardware solutions. In the heart of Shenzhen, known as the Silicon Valley for industrial-grade electronic hardware, lies Shenzhen One (SZ1). We are a unique vertical integrator and platform, connecting over 100 seasoned design and development firms. This network has amassed an extensive repository of knowledge, boasting more than 5,000 solutions for industrial electronic hardware.

Our experience has shown us that creating a new product from the ground up is often unnecessary. For many clients, the ideal solution already exists within our vast 'inventory'. This is similar to iPhone users finding the perfect app for their needs in the App Store. In our case, hardware innovation involves an internal search, identifying a semi-finished or similar product, prototype that can be rapidly validated and fine-tuned through micro-engineering.

This method is swift, secure, and cost-effective. We proudly term it Hardware Innovation as a Service - a streamlined way to meet specific hardware needs without the time and expense of starting from zero.

What's the Blackbox Manufacturing Program ?

The Blackbox Manufacturing Program is our dedicated solution for safeguarding the intellectual properties (IPs) and trade secrets of our clients' custom solutions. Understanding the critical importance of IP protection, this program is meticulously designed to keep the development and manufacturing processes completely isolated from the public supply chain in China.

Under this program, all confidential elements – encompassing physical components, visual designs, schematics, and more – are kept strictly hidden and inaccessible to any third parties. Our in-house SMT workshop and joint venture tooling house play a crucial role in this endeavor, ensuring that every stage of production is covered by this secure 'veil.'

Thanks to the Blackbox Manufacturing Program, we provide an environment where our clients' proprietary solutions are not just developed, but also protected with the highest level of security. This approach prevents the wrongful exploitation or profit from our customers' innovations, ensuring their unique ideas remain exclusively theirs.

How do you provide product life-circle tech-support?

When we refer to the 'product life-circle', we're talking about the entire lifespan of a product category, not just a single product iteration. Even when a product solution is on the brink of being replaced by newer technology, its life-circle isn't technically over until we can no longer physically support it.

In the realm of industrial application products, reliability over extended periods is crucial. Our customers often require a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of 5 to 10 years. During such lengthy durations, it's common for certain components, like the processor chipset, to be phased out by manufacturers. While this may render a product 'legacy' in the fast-paced tech industry, our stance is firmly against planned obsolescence.

Our commitment transcends these industry norms. We pledge to continue offering technical support using our remaining inventory of chipsets. Furthermore, we provide alternative and consistent hardware options for replacements. This approach ensures that even as certain parts become obsolete, our clients can still rely on us for sustained support and functionality of their essential industrial products.

What's your warranty for the custom products ?

We offer a standard one-year limited warranty on all our solutions, complemented by a commitment to a 5-year availability of service parts, ensuring sustained support for your investment
